Support groups are the backbone of a lot of addiction aftercare treatment programs. Support group members will meeting regularly to discuss their progress with long-term sobriety and discuss any roadblocks or challenges they are facing.

Some of the most common types of support groups that you may have heard of include Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Sober Living Community

Sober living houses and communities allow clients who have gone through or are going through treatment to live alongside others who are in the same boat. 

This can be extremely beneficial for those who are having a hard time adapting to their new lifestyle and can help prevent relapse.

Alumni Community

Alumni communities allow clients who have been through or are currently going through treatment to meet up regularly in a less formal setting. 

These group meetings are often accompanied by a fun activity like a BBQ, going to a sports event, a charity event, or something else. It allows clients to continue living a healthy life surrounding by other with similar goals.
